Two kinds of cursive in one generator
People mean two different things by a "cursive font generator", and this tool does both:
- Copy and paste cursive text — letters like 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 that you can paste into an Instagram bio, a TikTok name, a Discord status or a WhatsApp message. They stay styled wherever you paste them because they are special Unicode characters, not a font.
- Real cursive handwriting — your text written in a joined-up cursive or calligraphy font, with letters that connect like real handwriting. Download it as a transparent PNG or a vector SVG for invitations, Canva designs, stories, tattoo ideas and printing.
The Live ink panel under the text box writes your words in real cursive as you type, so you can see the difference straight away.
How to use the cursive font generator
- Type or paste your text — a name, a bio, a caption or a short message.
- On Copy & paste text, tap any style to copy it. Add a frame such as ✧ sparkles ✧ or ꒰ cute brackets ꒱ to every style at once.
- Use Mix & match to give each word its own style, and the symbol row (✧ ♡ ☾ ❀) to decorate your text.
- Check the Live preview to see the text on an Instagram, TikTok, Discord, X or WhatsApp profile, with the character limit for each field.
- For joined letters, open Handwriting image, pick a cursive style and an ink — black, navy, gold foil, rose gold, rainbow or neon — and download a PNG or SVG.
Copy and paste cursive: where it works
Copy-and-paste cursive works in most places that accept text: Instagram names, bios, captions and comments; TikTok names, bios and captions; Discord display names, statuses and messages; X names and posts; WhatsApp and Messenger chats; and Google Docs or Word. It does not work in usernames or handles, which only allow plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores.
A few things to know before you paste:
- Only A–Z have cursive versions. Accented letters (é, ñ) become plain letters and most styles keep numbers plain — the tool tells you when that happens, and can swap numbers for matching styled digits.
- Some apps count each fancy letter as two characters, so a 30-character name can run out of room sooner. The live preview shows both counts against each field's limit.
- Screen readers can't read styled letters as words. Keep important information — your name for search, contact details — in plain text too.
Cursive vs copy-and-paste "cursive"
Unicode includes only two true script alphabets: a light Cursive and a Bold Cursive. They look handwritten, but the letters never join, because each one is a separate character. Every other "cursive font" on copy-paste sites is an italic or a decorative alphabet. For letters that flow into each other — the way cursive is taught at school — use the Handwriting image tab, which draws your text with real cursive fonts.
Cursive alphabet A to Z
The alphabet panel shows every capital and small letter in Bold Cursive, Cursive, Bold Italic and Gothic. Tap a letter to copy it, or copy the whole alphabet. Handy for monograms, single-letter logos and initials such as 𝓐 or 𝓜.
On the Handwriting image tab, the alphabet is drawn in the cursive font you pick. Tap any capital or small letter to download it as a PNG, or download the whole A–Z cursive alphabet chart as a PNG or SVG — useful for cursive practice and for choosing how a letter should look.
Ideas for cursive text
- Instagram bio: your name in Bold Cursive with a ✧ sparkle ✧ frame, and the rest of the bio in plain text so it stays readable.
- TikTok or Discord name: Signature Cursive (bold capitals, light letters) looks elegant in a short name.
- Captions and wishes: "𝓗𝓪𝓹𝓹𝔂 𝓑𝓲𝓻𝓽𝓱𝓭𝓪𝔂" or "𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 𝔂𝓸𝓾" stand out in comments and messages.
- Invitations and story graphics: make a gold foil or rose gold cursive PNG on a transparent background and place it on your design.
- Tattoo ideas: compare a word in every cursive style, download the one you like and show it to your artist.
